This platform is used by thousands of people to connect, network, learn about events and share ideas.
My task was to redesign three pages on the platform “About“, “Getting Started” & “FAQ’s“.

The process
This is an established company with existing branding, so I wanted to understand their ethos, research their brand, and review their current designs to get a clearer picture.
I began with sketches, exploring different versions for each page and experimenting with layout options. This helped me quickly test ideas for branding, information hierarchy, and visual balance.
From the sketches, I created three versions of each page as low-fidelity wireframes, focusing on structure and flow. These were reviewed and refined, and the final versions were approved by stakeholders. version pic
After deciding on the approved designs, I added colours and visual detail, keeping in mind the branding and the existing platform design. These high-fidelity wireframes represented the final version before building the pages on the platform.
In the final version, my goal was to give readers the information they needed clearly and efficiently. I aimed to keep the design on brand while reducing cognitive load. For example, ensuring buttons looked consistent to make navigation easier for users.
Previously, the pages had been designed by different people, resulting in inconsistency. My redesign sought to create a unified and refreshed look, bringing clarity and continuity across the platform.

- Why? – The pages were created by different individuals, so there was an opportunity to make them more consistent and user friendly.
I approached the project from both a user and stakeholder point of view to understand their needs. - Researched – Looked into brand guidelines, the existing platform, and user feedback notes.
- Created – User personas, information architecture, and a POV statement.
- Conducted – A heuristic evaluation of the existing platform pages I needed to redesign.
I explored different layouts and ideas for the three pages, creating both simple and more outside-the-box sketches to test a variety of approaches.
After sketching, I moved into low-fidelity wireframes and created three options for each page to give stakeholders a range of choices. I considered layout, information architecture, and the POV while keeping close to the existing design for brand consistency. Once stakeholders chose their favourite designs, I developed them into high-fidelity wireframes, adding colours and visual elements based on the brand guidelines and platform style.
The stakeholders were happy with the designs, which resulted in more consistent, user-friendly pages.
Starting with research and prioritising key questions like “Why” and “What” made the design process faster and helped me focus on the most important tasks.
